When it comes to planning your next holiday, you may find it to be quite challenging; especially if you have kids that you need to pack for and consider. The following are just a few tips to help the packing process for your holiday go just a bit smoother and easier for you. Plan Ahead When you have kids, it can sometimes be hard to find the time to plan ahead. However, doing so before your holiday allows you to go through each step one at a time at an easier pace, rather than scrambling the night or day before you leave trying to get everything done. About a week or so before the trip lay out all the clothes you feel the kids will need. Also, make sure you have everything you need for the trip including strollers and car seats. It is also recommended to call ahead and confirm any plans that have been made to avoid any hiccups once you reach your destination. Then you can create your travel itinerary to organise everything. Make a Packing List As you begin to sort through the kid’s stuff to figure out what you will need to bring, you should write a list for each child. Make separate columns for the clothing items they will need, their extras like their toiletries, and another list for the items they will need to have with them in the car or on the plane to keep them busy. Separate Bags To avoid any future arguments, it is always a good idea to allow each child to have their own bag for travelling. To save even more time and hassle, you can also separate their outfits by day and place them in a Ziploc bag. This keeps everything organised and easier to keep track of, so you don’t miss anything they will need. Finally, don’t forget the snacks. Every parent knows the importance of having a good snack on hand when travelling to satiate the hunger of our Mini Me’s.
